While exhibiting at HIMSS09, Dr. Harmon, CMO of Harris Healthcare Solutions discusses Harris’ technology to move large files in a secure fashion.  Harris Corporation has been contracted to provide the services that enable a health enterprise to take an EHR and plug it into the NHIN- National Health Information Network.  The software development tool kit that makes this possible, was initially produced for federal agencies, but has been released into the open source domain, making it widely available to private physicians.  It may be downloaded from a website where anyone can use them to configure their health enterprise into the nationwide network.
