Important Stimulus funding facts:

1. The Stimulus payouts are front loaded; where 70% of the funding is paid in the first 2 years.
2. The Stimulus funding is time stamped; starting in 2015, the federal government will implement penalties to medical practices that are not using a certified EMR/EHR (electronic medical record/ electronic health record).
3. Physicians must be able to prove “Meaningful Use” with their acquired EMR/EHR (electronic medical record/ electronic health record) software system.
