Welcome to this 1450 Video Presentation

Featuring: eClinicalWorks, Frisbee, and Dragon Medical 10.

This video will demonstrate how a doctor’s dictation of a patient encounter can be quickly transcribed directly into the Progress Notes in eClinicalWorks sing Frisbee and Dragon Medical 10.

After a doctor meets with a patient the doctor can dictate the patient encounter anywhere and at anytime using a digital recorder (or portable recording device).

The dictation can later be transcribed into the eClinicalWorks Progress Notes.

When the doctor finishes the dictation simply place the recorder into the docking station and Frisbee will download the audio file from the recorder and send the audio file to the proper transcriptionist for the job.

The doctor can now remove the recorder from the docking station and continue to the next patient.

Now, let’s go to the Transcriptionist’s computer

During a patient encounter much of the patient information and structured data can be entered into the Progress Notes of eClinicalWorks before the doctor sees the patient.

Open the History of Present Illness Window.

And Minimize eClinicalWorks and bring up Frisbe.

The Transcriptionist will automatically receive the audio file from the doctor through Frisbee.

Select the job and then click the icon Recognize Speech.

Frisbee will automatically open Dragon Medical 10 and bring up the

Transcribe From Options Dialog Box.

Click Transcribe.

Transcription will start when you click on another application.

Now bring up the minimized eClinicalWorks Progress Notes.

Dragon Medical 10 is now transcribing the doctor’s dictation into the

Progress Notes of eClinicalWorks.

Notice how quickly Dragon is transcribing the doctor’s dictation and navigating through the Progress Notes windows.

The Transcriptionist can now edit the text as needed.

During the dictation the doctor used Custom Commands, or Macros, that Dragon recognized and entered the text for those Macros into the Progress Notes such as you see here.

This helps to keep the doctor’s dictation brief and yet flexible for each patient encounter.

In just a matter of seconds the doctor’s entire dictation for a patient encounter has been automatically transcribed directly into the eClinicalWorks:

History of Present Illness

Examination

Assessments

Treatment

This video has been a brief demonstration showing how a doctor can use Frisbee Pro and Dragon Medical 10 to transcribe the dictation of a Patient Encounter directly into the Progress Notes of eClinicalWorks.
