Steve Mueller – Health Alliance Manager, Dell Inc.

Dell Computers has an ongoing relationship with Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions, Inc. for the last ten years.Allscripts ™ is a strong partner of Dell, purchasing Dell products to run the Allscripts ePrescribing system, electronic medical record (EMR) software, and practice management (PM) software. In addition, Allscripts supports Dell’s platforms by selling Dell technology with Allscripts medical record technology to hospitals and physician practices. Due to the dual partnership between Dell and Allscripts, physicians are confident that the finely tuned hardware will work seamlessly with the electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management (PM) software.

Dell offers a bundled hardware solution for new Allscripts electronic medical record (EMR) software users. A custom approach is needed, where the bundled solution is based on the size of the medical practice and their existing hardware situation.

Steve Mueller discusses with EHRtv that Dell has introduced a new line of servers, the 11th Generation Servers, which embraces the latest Intel technology. Because of the partnership with Dell, Allscripts is given the opportunity to leverage that new technology with their electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management (PM) software systems.
